Lake Monsters Stick Lobsters with 4-1 Loss
|
The Vermont Lake Monsters knocked off the Maine Lobsters, 4-1, at Centennial Field. Parker Robbins was a big reason Vermont won. The center fielder went 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Picking up the save was Tristan Swiderski, his 8th. The 6th-place Lake Monsters lifted their record to 23-29.
Wendell Hays, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2056 draft, helped out the Vermont cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the designated hitter drew 1 walk in 4 trips to the plate.
"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Hays.
