Lobsters Handle Lake Monsters, Nab 3-1 Win
Maine pitcher Patrick Boston did his part in helping his team defeat the Vermont Lake Monsters, 3-1. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Picking up the save was Smokey Joe Pearce, his 7th. Maine is now 25-26.

Hendrix Cook, who is tied for 3rd in the NYP in bases on balls with 26, helped out the Maine cause in the top of the third inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the right fielder was 1-4.

"I think every team will tell you that the pitching sets the tone, especially the starters," said Maine skipper Bill Medina.
