Walk-Off Win Makes Abbotsford 14-13
|
The inspired effort of Aberdeen first baseman Mark McKnight was not enough to prevent a loss, 7-6, to the Abbotsford Canucks. McKnight was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 3 and driving in 2. With this game in the books, Abbotsford is 14-13, Aberdeen 12-16.
Santana Rivera was the walk-off hero for Abbotsford. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Canucks third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"This place sure got loud," said Jose Colon, the Abbotsford manager.
