The Atlantic City Jokers defeated the Vermont Lake Monsters, 8-5. First Baseman George Barboza deserved a large share of the credit. Barboza was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 3 and driving in 3 for the Jokers. Alton Cabrera notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 3 runs on 2 hits in 3 innings. His record now sits at 1-1. The last-place Jokers lifted their record to 18-34.

The Jokers took advantage of an error in the top of the sixth inning. Atlantic City was leading 3-1 when Rogerio Madrid hit a 2-run single that was misplayed. It put the Jokers in front, 5-1.
