Lowell Spinners right-hander Jesse Lamb pitched a good game against the Vermont Lake Monsters at Edward A. LeLacheur Park, leading his team to victory, 5-3. The Spinners win now puts them at 21-28.

Lowell took a 4-3 lead on Travis Gerstung's 4th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Gerstung hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Vermont pitcher Ray Larsen visibly frustrated.

"I'm the humblest guy I know," Gerstung told a local reporter without a hint of irony.
