AquaSox Prevail, 3-1, in 12 Innings
|
Everett AquaSox starter Dominic Bates was in the groove. He led his team to a win over the Yakima Valley Pippins, 3-1. Everett reliever Laz Richardson picked up the win to move to 1-1. Ryan Medearis suffered the loss. Logan Johnson earned the save, his 1st.
Everett used a timely hit from Russ Dean to get the win. The center fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the 12th inning to put the AquaSox ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"Tough ballgame, tough loss," said Yakima Valley manager Hugo Brito.
The AquaSox now have a record of 15-9.
