Soltero goes 3-for-3 to Fuel Spikes Offense
Soggy conditions did not keep State College and Auburn from playing their scheduled game.

The State College Spikes defeated the Auburn Doubledays, 7-3, at Falcon Park. State College was led by 22-year old catcher Victor Soltero, who was 3 for 3 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 5. State College pitcher Lance Park earned the win, hiking his record to 4-2. De'quan Mohammed suffered the loss.

With State College trailing 2-1 in the top of the fourth, Soltero hit a splitter from De'quan Mohammed for a 3-run home run. It was his 7th home run of the season and put the Spikes ahead, 4-2.

"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said Soltero.

With the win, the Spikes have a record of 33-10.
