The Youngstown Gremlins defeated the Tri-City ValleyCats, 5-3. Doing his part was first baseman Bascom Babcock, who went 3-4 with 2 doubles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The winner in relief was Da'Von Howell. He is now 1-2. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 4 innings. Picking up the save was 20-year old right-handed pitcher Joe Mint.

Early in the game, Babcock had a 2-run double for Youngstown. It was his 2nd double of the season and put the Gremlins on top, 2-0.

In postgame remarks, Babcock said: "To all who've been doubting my effort -- I hope they saw this game."

The Gremlins now have a record of 19-27 with the win over Tri-City.
