Hamilton turned a good effort from starter Yelio Sosa into a win over the Youngstown Gremlins at Red Wings Ballpark. The Red Wings won the game, 5-2. Hamilton is in 7th place in the New York-Penn League North Division with a record of 19-27.

Hamilton took control in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Mateo Benavidez hit a run-scoring single to make it 3-2, Red Wings.

"We're stringing together some nice wins," said Hamilton manager Rex Tutt.
