Flying Tigers Get 3-2 Win Versus Everett
|
Medford Grounds was the site of a tense game between the Everett AquaSox and Medford Flying Tigers.
Medford right fielder D.J. Taylor played a vital role in his team's 3-2 triumph over Everett. He was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Medford. Roger Ferguson collected his 5th save.
Bonbon Mateo drew 1 walk for Medford. The 23-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Clendon Davis. It was his 17th RBI of the season.
Mateo called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
The Flying Tigers now have a record of 13-8.
