Jamestown Gets Another L
|
The Connecticut Tigers cut down the Jamestown Jammers by the score of 5-4, with the largest share of the credit going to left fielder Ethan Dillon. Dillon was 1 for 2 with a double and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Tigers. The winner was Shan Ochoa, who threw 95 pitches over 6.2 innings. The left-hander was charged with 3 runs on 11 hits. Jammer Dougherty earned the save, his 1st, for the Tigers.
Connecticut second baseman Ivy Anderson contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With two down, he hit a fastball to left-center field for a 2-run single. It was his 11th hit of the season and put the Tigers ahead, 5-2.
"Slowly but surely, the wins are piling up," said Anderson.
The Tigers sit in 4th place in the New York-Penn League South Division with a record of 25-19.
