Win Makes Batavia 29-12
|
Though he had a terrific game, Chris Millar could not prevent his team, the Hamilton Red Wings, from absorbing a loss. Batavia won the game, 7-3. Millar was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The Muckdogs now have a mark of 29-12.
Batavia took a 5-3 lead on C.J. Nicole's 1st home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Nicole hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Hamilton pitcher Eric Stuart visibly frustrated.
"Being in first place now is good," said Nicole. "Being in first at the end of the season is better. That's our goal."
