Red Wings Handle Jamestown, Snag 3-1 Win
|
In a low-scoring game between the Hamilton Red Wings and the Jamestown Jammers, pitcher Joshua Taylor was masterful on the mound. The Hamilton left-hander spearheaded his team's 3-1 win. Taylor got the win, improving to 3-4. He gave up 4 hits and walked 0 over 7.1 innings. He allowed 1 run. J.B. Waits was credited with the save for Hamilton, his 2nd of the season.
Laurencio Del Real, who is tied for 6th in the NYP in total bases with 78, had a direct impact on the outcome. Del Real contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put Hamilton up, 3-1.
