Ironbirds Take Tight Tangle
The Aberdeen Ironbirds nipped the Connecticut Tigers, 4-3, at Senator Thomas J. Dodd Memorial Stadium. Aberdeen pitcher Dusty Ells, in particular, starred. Josh Kiser sewed up the save, his 4th. The Ironbirds now have a mark of 30-10.

Aberdeen used the timely hitting of Keith Richards to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Ironbirds on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Aberdeen skipper Chad Gutierrez. "I can't complain."
