Oil City Beats Jamestown in 15-Inning Thriller
|
The excitement level at The Oil Field reached a crescendo in the final at-bat.
In a close game at The Oil Field, the Oil City Oilers edged the Jamestown Jammers, 5-4. Oil City left fielder Dexter Wiseman stood apart with his performance. He went 3-7 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Oil City reliever John Minnick picked up the win, upping his record to 1-2. Bryan Elvas was saddled with the loss.
In the bottom of the 15th, with the score tied, Wiseman hammered a solo home run to win it for Oil City.
"The crowd went wild," Wiseman said.
Yes, it was a win for Oil City; but their 14-27 record is still nothing to boast about.
