Auburn turned a good effort from starter Andrés Perez into a win over the Vermont Lake Monsters at Centennial Field. The Doubledays won the game, 3-1. Perez picked up the win for Auburn, going 8 innings. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 4-2. Jack Richards recorded his 4th save for Auburn.
Auburn used the hitting of Cameron Bennett to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a run-scoring single in the top of the third inning to put the Doubledays on top, 2-1. For the game, Bennett had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
