António González, who is tied for 6th in the NYP in wins with 4, was locked in. The left-hander led the West Virginia Black Bears to a 5-1 win against the Oil City Oilers at The Oil Field. Vesto Sazo was called on to finish, recording his 3rd save. Today's win puts West Virginia at 22-16, while Oil City falls to 10-28.
West Virginia left fielder Cooper Hamlin helped his team get ahead early. In the top of the first, with the bases loaded, he grounded out, driving in 1 run.
"You have to trust that what you're doing is going to produce results," said González.
