The skies opened up and the rain fell at Eastwood Field.

The Vermont Lake Monsters marched over the Youngstown Gremlins, 12-4, at Eastwood Field. Ryder Howton led the charge. He went 2 for 5 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The win was credited to 23-year old right-handed pitcher Parker Ramsay in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Curt Love took the loss. Boden Kramer finished to wrap up his 2nd save.

Kyle Hong came through with a big-time hit for Vermont. The pinch hitter smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 5-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

Youngstown manager Brandon Haviland said: "We'll rinse this one off and get ready for the next game."

The Lake Monsters are now 25-12.
