Tigers Make It 4 In a Row with 4-3 Triumph Over Batavia
The Connecticut Tigers picked up a win at Senator Thomas J. Dodd Memorial Stadium, taking down the Batavia Muckdogs, 4-3. Starting pitcher Ed Butler was a big reason why. The winner was Butler. He threw 6.0 innings of 5-hit ball. The loser was Rory Shape. The win puts the Tigers at 16-20, while the Muckdogs drop to 25-11.

The Tigers got a big at-bat from designated hitter Yosnier Alejo. For the game, Alejo was 2 for 3 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 3rd double of the season gave Connecticut a 4-2 lead.

"Ed was bobbing and weaving the whole game," said Connecticut manager Simon Begum.
