The Youngstown Gremlins grabbed a win, 6-4, over the State College Spikes at Bowman Field. Youngstown second baseman José Arciga went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Youngstown pitcher Biff Zantow got the win. He's now 4-1. Brit Séguin was tagged with the loss. Dominic Vollmer closed the game out for Youngstown, earning his 1st save.
With Youngstown trailing 4-2 in the top of the third, Arciga hit a fastball from Brit Séguin for a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Gremlins ahead, 5-4.
"We were able to put some good swings on some pitches," Arciga told the Youngstown Herald.
Youngstown is now 21-12, State College 15-18.
