Lowell Loses Again
Brad Rutgers, who is tied for 8th in the NYP with a 1.015 OPS, led State College to a win over Lowell. The final score was 4-1. The left fielder collected 2 extra-base hits, including 1 triple and 1 double. He also delivered 1 RBI. The win was credited to 23-year old right-handed pitcher Christian Huston in relief. His record improves to 4-0. Eugénio Gamino took the loss. Picking up his 4th save was 23-year old right-handed pitcher Jermain Shaw.

Jim O'Neil dealt the Spinners a blow in the bottom of the third. Batting with the bases loaded and State College leading 2-1, O'Neil hit a full count cutter for a 2-run single.

"We'll keep riding this wave as long as we can," said Spikes manager Bobby Spencer.
