The Tri-City ValleyCats defeated the Batavia Muckdogs, 8-5. Doing his part was third baseman Thad Larose, who was 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. The 7th-place ValleyCats sport a record of 13-20.
In the top of the sixth, the ValleyCats grabbed the lead when Larose hit his 2nd home run of the season. The 3-run home run off Ayrton Boogert made it 8-5, Tri-City.
"I hate to be the fly in the ointment," said Larose, "but we could've played better."
