The Niagara Falls Rapids had to weather a strong performance from Connecticut pitcher George Bennett before claiming a 3-2 win in 11 innings. Bennett went 6.1 innings and allowed 1 run. Niagara Falls reliever Lucas Nguyen picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Yanier Martínez took the loss. The defeat makes Connecticut 10-23.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the 11th for Niagara Falls. That's when Wil Pitre hit a run-scoring double off 23-year old right-handed pitcher Yanier Martínez to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"This win should put a little bounce in our step," said Pitre.
