The Lowell Spinners topped the Youngstown Gremlins by a score of 8-6 in 12 innings. Leading the way was left fielder Shaun Thomas. Thomas went 5 for 7 with a home run and 4 singles, while scoring 3 runs for the Spinners. Dylan Daniels earned the save for Lowell, his 3rd of the year. Lowell sits in 5th place in the New York-Penn League North Division at 15-19.

The game was at a stalemate until catcher Juan Mazza came to bat in the top of the 12th. Facing Youngstown pitcher Rio Ropp, he hit a first pitch slider for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting Lowell on top, 8-6.
