Cyclones Lose Late, 4-2
|
The Brooklyn Cyclones could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Vic Richmond into a win. Instead, the Atlantic City Jokers prevailed, 4-2. Richmond threw 6.1 innings of 2-hit ball. The last-place Jokers hiked their record to 9-22.
Atlantic City needed the clutch hitting of Tristan Hoti to seal the deal. The first baseman swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Jokers on top, 4-2. For the game, Hoti had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
In postgame remarks, Hoti applauded his team's "resolve."
