Auburn Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
Auburn third baseman Scott Lungu played a vital role in his team's 3-1 triumph over Redmond. He was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Auburn. A.J. Turner got credit for the win, improving to 1-1. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. The Doubledays, at 11-5, sit in second place in the New York-Penn League North Division.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With one out, Lungu hit a fastball from Greg Overstreet for a 2-run home run. The Doubledays, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"This wasn't a good win," said Lungu. "It was a great win."
