Late Rally by Ironbirds Secures 5-3 Win
Aberdeen Ironbirds starter Sean Butler pitched a strong game against the Connecticut Tigers at Ripken Stadium, leading the Ironbirds to victory, 5-3. Marvin Davis came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 5 hits in 2 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. The save went to Miles Farnum, number 12 for him.

Blake Valentine drew 1 walk in his only trip to the plate for Aberdeen. The 23-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring walk off Raymar Sauza. It was his 1st walk of the season.

"We'll enjoy this win for now, but it's just one," Valentine told local reporters. "We've got to keep it going."

Aberdeen is now 20-7, 2 games up in the New York-Penn League South Division.
