Vargas drives in 6 runs in Spikes Win
The State College Spikes defeated the Auburn Doubledays by the score of 7-1, with the biggest share of the credit going to center fielder Ruben Vargas. Vargas was 2 for 5 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 6 for the Spikes on the day. The 'W' lifts State College's record to 13-16.

The game was all tied up in the top of the eighth, until Vargas delivered big-time for State College, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Gavin Mendenhall. The game-changing hit put the Spikes on top, 2-1.

"If we keep hitting the ball well, the wins will pile up," said State College skipper Bobby Spencer.
