Sawin Helps Spikes Beat Black Bears, 8-7
State College second baseman Levi Sawin picked up 3 ribbies while helping his team beat back the West Virginia Black Bears, 8-7. Jayden Klumb, credited with the win in relief, is now 1-1. He allowed 2 runs on 2 hits in 1 innings. The save went to Parker Frizzell, his 5th this season.

State College used the hitting of Mike Uber to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Spikes on top, 8-7. For the game, Uber had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"We take it day by day here," said Sawin, "and today was a good one for us."
