Gates Delivers Walk-Off Win for Red Wings
|
The Hamilton Red Wings needed 10 innings to beat the Tri-City ValleyCats, 7-6, at Red Wings Ballpark. Keldon Neville, for one, had a fine performance. He went 5-6 with a home run, 2 doubles, and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. The Red Wings now own a record of 15-10.
The Red Wings got a clutch hit from left fielder Mike Gates. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Red Wings.
"Our team showed some spunk," said Gates.
