Romero 3-for-4, Leads Tigers to Win

Francisco Romero, who is tied for 3rd in the NYP in total bases with 62, knocked in 3 runs to help the Connecticut Tigers win, 5-2, over the Atlantic City Jokers. Jairo Valencia was the winner. Over 6.1 innings, he yielded 2 runs on 9 hits, with no walks and 6 strikeouts. Connecticut is now 13-11, while Atlantic City is 9-15.
With Connecticut leading 1-0 in the top of the fourth, Romero hit a run-scoring single off Atlantic City hurler Alton Cabrera. It was the 35th hit of the season for Romero and put his team ahead, 2-0.
