The Maine Lobsters had no problem beating the Vermont Lake Monsters, 11-1, at Centennial Field. Mahammad Qasimov led the way. He was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4 for Maine. Ansley Storts got the win, improving to 3-0. He held the Lake Monsters to 1 run on 6 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 3 and walking 2. Oscar Thomas closed it out for his 2nd save.

Maine used the hitting of Yaimel Taveras to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Lobsters on top, 3-0. For the game, Taveras had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

Vermont manager Charles Chaney said his team was "out of sync."
