Streaking Lobsters Win Another One, 1-0
|
In a low-scoring contest between the Maine Lobsters and the Jamestown Jammers, Connor Carlisle was the X factor. The Maine right-hander spearheaded the 1-0 win. Carlisle yielded no runs over 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 1, and struck out 8. His record improves to 2-1. Picking up his 7th save was 23-year old left-handed pitcher Woody Mustapha.
With two out in the bottom of the fourth, Joshua Paquet put Maine in front, 1-0, with a run-scoring single. The Lobsters went on to win the ballgame.
"We squandered some opportunities," said Jamestown manager Steve Kapp.
Maine is now 11-8, Jamestown 10-9.
