Gremlins Bump Off Spinners, 3-2

Eastwood Field was the site for New York-Penn League action featuring the Lowell Spinners and Youngstown Gremlins.
In a low-scoring contest between the Youngstown Gremlins and the Lowell Spinners, 21-year old left-handed pitcher DeReece Reagor proved to be the difference. The Youngstown left-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-2 Gremlins win. Youngstown reliever Norm Mentgen picked up the win, while Jesse Lamb took the loss for Lowell.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Gremlins had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the sixth, when pinch hitter Logan Alona hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Sawyer Godfrey and made the score 3-2, Gremlins. Alona went 1 for 1.
"I thought we played some darn good baseball," said Gremlins manager Josh Bieber.
After today's action, Youngstown sits at 8-11; Lowell slips to 3-16.
