Rapids Lose Versus State College, 5-3
The State College Spikes overcame a pretty good performance by Niagara Falls designated hitter Wil Pitre, beating the Rapids, 5-3, at Nat Bailey Stadium. Pitre was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Parker Frizzell closed it out for State College, earning his 1st save. The last-place Spikes have a record of 3-16.

Mike Uber came through with a big-time hit for State College. The pinch hitter smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 5-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"I warned the team before the game," losing manager Josh Reeder told reporters, "that I'm wearing the same pair of undies until we win."
