Flying Tigers Show Nerve in Tight 4-3 Win
|
The outcome was not decided until the very end at Medford Grounds.
Medford Flying Tigers starter Dan Copeland was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Kennewick Marauders, 4-3. With the win, Medford elevates its record to 6-3.
Coming to the plate with one out in the bottom of the ninth inning, Medford right fielder D.J. Taylor had a chance to be the hero. Facing Kennewick pitcher Jason Stevenson with the bases loaded, Taylor drew a walk, driving in 1 run.
"Drama and more drama," said Flying Tigers manager Jesus Cardone. "That's baseball at its finest."
