Atlantic City Hot Streak Continues with 12-2 Win
The Atlantic City Jokers knocked off the Staten Island Pizza Rats, 12-2, in New York-Penn League action at Monongalia County Ballpark. Atlantic City pitcher and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, native D.J. Polanco had an outstanding performance. Polanco got the win, improving to 2-0. He gave up 6 hits and walked 0 over 6 innings. He allowed 1 run. Atlantic City is now 10-9. Staten Island is 11-8.

Harley Zimmerman had a big 2-run home run for the Jokers in the bottom of the second inning. With Atlantic City trailing 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a changeup from 19-year old right-handed pitcher Brendon Calloway and punished it. The result was his 1st home run of the season, which put the Jokers on top, 2-1.

Staten Island manager Max Collison said: "We'll put this one in the trash can and get ready for the next game."
