The West Virginia Black Bears got a strong performance from pitcher Chase Yamada. General stymied the Hamilton offense en route to a solid, 7-0 win at Red Wings Ballpark. Now 15-3, West Virginia has won 10 consecutive games.

West Virginia used a clutch at-bat from Sean Gerlt to capture the win. The second baseman hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the third inning to put the Black Bears ahead, 6-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"We're on a roll," said Black Bears manager Jesus Sánchez.
