The Niagara Falls Rapids could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Samuel Torres into a win. Instead, the Auburn Doubledays prevailed, 3-1. Torres threw 8.0 innings allowing 3 runs. The winner was Diomedes Correa in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Samuel Torres took the loss. Auburn is second in the New York-Penn League North Division with a record of 10-7.

Sil Machado helped out the Auburn cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the center fielder drove in one run.

"Feels good to get the job done," Machado said after the game.
