Brooklyn Rocks Lowell, 11-2
|
The Brooklyn Cyclones had no problem beating the Lowell Spinners, 11-2, at Edward A. LeLacheur Park. Nathan Ha, who is tied for 3rd in the NYP in triples with 1, led the onslaught. He went 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for Brooklyn. The win puts Brooklyn at 7-6.
Pablo Santana had a big bases-clearing double for the Cyclones in the top of the fourth inning. With Brooklyn leading 3-1 and the bases loaded, he got a changeup from 21-year old right-handed pitcher Paul Wai and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 4th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Cyclones ahead, 6-1.
Lowell manager Geoff Fitzsimmons called the blowout loss "a real bummer."
