A good performance from first baseman Roland Ligon helped the Auburn Doubledays defeat the Connecticut Tigers, 8-3. Ligon belted 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 3 for the Doubledays. Auburn is now 8-5.

Sil Machado, who is tied for 10th in the NYP in stolen bases with 2, helped out the Auburn cause in the bottom of the first inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the center fielder was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
