Black Bears Get Clutch 4-3 Win
|
West Virginia Black Bears starter Knox Moller found his groove in his team's 4-3 win over the Brooklyn Cyclones. Benson McCracken came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.1 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. Now 9-3, the 2064 Black Bears have been phenomenal so far.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, an error by the Cyclones allowed the Black Bears to score the winning run.
"I just tried to focus on getting that first guy out every inning," said Moller.
