Doubledays Suffer 7-1 Loss to Tri-City
|
Riding the 2-hit performance of the 21-year old first baseman Yaakov Crosbie, the Tri-City ValleyCats stopped the Auburn Doubledays, 7-1, in 9 innings. Tri-City reliever Connor Freedman picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Charles Leal took the loss. Auburn is now 5-4.
Brennan Sullivan went 1 for 3 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Tri-City. The 21-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the second. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a 2-run single off Charles Leal. It was his 1st hit of the season.
"To get where we want to as a team, we all have to do things out of our comfort zone," Crosbie told the Tri-City News.
