The Everett AquaSox and Hamilton Red Wings obliged fans hoping for an exciting game.

Despite a great performance by Hamilton center fielder Martín Penaloza, the Everett AquaSox defeated the Red Wings by the score of 8-7 at Everett Memorial Stadium. Penaloza went 3 for 3 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs. Rahsaan Thompson picked up the win in relief for Everett, while LeMarcus Pippen took the loss.

Neil Keesecker was a key contributor to the win for the AquaSox. In the bottom of the tenth with one out, the light-hitting pinch hitter stroked a single to right. He was 1-1.

"Games like this one keep the antacid makers in business," quipped Hamilton manager Aaron Cox.

Hamilton now is 2-2.
