Thanks in large part to shortstop Remy Patrick, the Niagara Falls Rapids beat the Hamilton Red Wings, 9-1. Patrick went 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Picking up the win was Hailey Melton. He went 8 innings, allowing 1 run on 6 hits. The right--hander struck out 6 and walked 1. With the win, Niagara Falls elevates its record to 3-6.

With Niagara Falls leading 4-1 in the top of the seventh, Patrick hit a fastball from Tavis Brasher for a 3-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Rapids ahead, 7-1.

"Getting the win feels nice," said Patrick. "More importantly, I had a good game."
