Cavalry Trip ValleyCats, 10-9, in Extra Innings
The New Westminster Cavalry defeated the Tri-City ValleyCats, 10-9, in 12 innings. Adam Holland led the way, going 4-for-6 for New Westminster. The win takes New Westminster to 1-3.

New Westminster used the clutch hitting of Sayed DeRoche to capture the win. The center fielder drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the 12th inning to give the Cavalry the lead, 10-9. For the game, DeRoche had 2 singles and 1 double in 5 at-bats.

"We busted our humps out there," said DeRoche.
