Powered by Nathan Parsons, the Auburn Doubledays downed the Lowell Spinners, 7-6. Parsons went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Doubledays. Rex Brown earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 2.2 innings. He upped his record to 1-0. The win gives Auburn a record of 5-4.

In the bottom of the ninth, Darren Cheek knew he could end it with one good swing of the bat. And he did, hitting a run-scoring single off Lowell pitcher Lee Hockenberry.

"The crowd was boisterous tonight," said Cheek.
