ValleyCats Lose Late to Doubledays
Gabe Parish did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Tri-City ValleyCats from being beaten, 8-7, to the Auburn Doubledays at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium. Parish was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Chad Helton locked down his 2nd save. The loss makes Tri-City 4-3.

Sam Keltner came through with a big-time hit for Auburn. The pinch hitter smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 8-7. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

After the game, Keltner lauded his team's effort. "We kept our focus on the task at hand," he said.
