The Maine Lobsters outclassed the Connecticut Tigers, 8-2, at Senator Thomas J. Dodd Memorial Stadium. Glenn Mellies was a major contributor for Maine. Mellies went 4-5 with 4 singles, while adding 4 RBI. Maine, now 3-1, is setting the league on fire so far.

With Maine leading 2-1 in the top of the fifth, Mellies hit a 2-run single off Connecticut hurler Drake Brezin. It was the 5th hit of the season for Mellies and put his team ahead, 4-1.

"We didn't help ourselves, it's as simple as that," said losing manager Simon Begum.
