The Roseburg Owls beat the Vermont Lake Monsters, 8-5, at Centennial Field. Roseburg center fielder Hadley Smart had an outstanding performance. He was 3 for 4 with a triple, a double, and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Kinnard Green notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 3 runs on 3 hits in 1.2 innings. His record now sits at 1-0. The win takes Roseburg to 2-1.
Elliott O'Bryan, the 23-year old center fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. O'Bryan contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the fifth inning to put Roseburg up, 4-1.
