Knudsen Powers Tigers to 9-4 Win
The Connecticut Tigers downed the Auburn Doubledays, 9-4, at Senator Thomas J. Dodd Memorial Stadium. Jody Knudsen led the way, going 3-for-4 for Connecticut. Eric Tolliver was the winning pitcher. Over 5 innings, he allowed 4 runs on 6 hits, with 4 walks and 3 strikeouts. Casey Cole closed it out for Connecticut, earning his 1st save.

With the game tied, 4-4, in the bottom of the fifth, Knudsen had a key at-bat for Connecticut. With the bases loaded, Knudsen hit a 2-run single off Eugene Turner, making the score 6-4, Tigers.
